Remote Crop Advisory Services (e-Extension)

Once subscribed, farmer gets “near” realtime, data-driven and personalized farming advice via SMS, voice call, in-app notification or in-person.

We use satellite technology to monitor soil nutrients and crop health remotely, then provide essential advice and recommendation to the farmer. This is a game-changer for most rural smallholder farmers and communities where there is weak or non-existent government-run agricultural extension service. Our advice is vital for improving farming practices and increasing yield for a fraction of the costs.

Once you've captured your farm co-ordinates with Monitor mobile app, our e-Extension software can;

  • Analyze your farm's soil fertility; then calculate your fertilizer requirement for a good harvest.
  • Send you weekly updates on crop health till harvest.
  • Suggest the best time to harvest based on current and previous seasons' data.
  • Get recommendation on what farm inputs to use that fits your environment, among others

Drone Rental

Precise, GPS-guided drone application of agro-chemicals

It is like Uber but for drones to handle all spraying activities on a farm affordably, targeted and speedily for granular or liquid fertilizer, pesticides and herbicide.

Farm Risk Assessment

Get a detailed data-driven, personalized risk report for a farm/crop; know the historical viability background of the farm or region before you invest a dime.

This report is especially useful for investors; however, a corporate farmer serious about his business success should seriously consider getting this report annually, especially as climate change adds uncertainty to both factors of crop production and the growing environment.

Soil Mineral Evaluation

Remotely analyze and visualize vital soil minerals with precise fertilizer application tips.

Nitrogen is one of the main chemical elements required for the development of plants. Naturally, nitrogen is converted into a form accessible to plants during the decomposition of humus; as result, farmers can control its availability using fertilizers. Inadequate fertilizer lowers crop yield; too much of it has adverse effect on human and the groundwater ecosystem. Note that nitrogen content in soil changes significantly with time; this is why it’s important for farmers know its availability periodically.

Phosphate,Potash (P,K) are responsible for grain/fruit development. Unlike Nitrogen, P,K are immobile in the soil. P aids the synthesis of proteins by stimulating photosynthesis and increasing the ability of crop to tolerate low temperature. P helps the roots to grow (it also affects the quality of seeds). Both have optimal requirements for each crop beyond which they won't be absorbed by the crop; a high content of P,K could result in adverse effects such as absorbing Mg and Ca more slowly.

Farm Service Linkage

In order to maximize yield, smallholder farmers need the right agricultural inputs. These externalities range from high-quality seeds and fertiizer to tractors and high-end technologies. Explore our MARKETPLACE to connect with our curated vendors. Individual investors and financial institutions can also INVEST in smallholder farms under our portfolio; we will participate as the implementing and de-risking partner using our sets of precision agriculture solutions.

Technology-assited Aggregation

Because yield size of most smallholder farmers are too small for big purchase, and the logistics cost of picking up small quantities of produce from one farm gate to another, we've designed an SMS-based supplychain management system that's capable of aggregating any size of tonnage of order in a matter of minutes through member farmers on our hub. This is a win-win for both farmers and offtakers.

Frequently Asked Questions

Got a question? We've got answers. If you have some other questions, contact us here.

Is this a secure site for purchases?

Absolutely! We work with top payment companies which guarantees your safety and security. All billing information is stored on our payment processing partner which has the most stringent level of certification available in the payments industry.

Can I cancel my subscription or order?

You can not cancel your subscription after payment is successful. You will continue to have access to the service until your current subscription expires. However, your subscription can be cancelled (on request), and you will not be charged next year.

How long are your contracts?

Currently, we only offer two types of subscription: yearly and one-time. You can discontinue usage of our service by requesting cancelation at any time with no further obligation.

Can I update my card details?

Yes, you can always update update your payment information during checkout. All billing information is stored on our payment processing partner.

Can I request refund?

Unfortunately, not. We do not issue full or partial refunds for any reason.

Can I try your service for free?

Of course! We’re happy to offer a free "drive-through" experience of our e-Extension service to anyone who wants to try our service.

How do I know your advices are valid?

We rely on earth observatory satellites to model certain measurements that are indicative of organic and inorganic forms distinctively. Crop performance is derived using some of such measurements referred to as indices. An index a simple indicator that can be used to assess whether an area of interest being observed (i.e farm land) contains live green vegetation or not, the presence of which means the presence of active photosynthesis. We periodically fine-tune the model through continuous field observations of over 3000 farm fields.

Is your remote soil tests accurate?

Yes. The presence of live vegetation means the presence of active photosynthesis, hence Nitrogen. Higher vegetation means higher Nitrogen content in soil. There are other secondary factors considered in normalizing this inference; we rely on mathematical interpolation (evaluating new data points within the range of a discrete set of known data points) to learn/derive soil mineral information. With a known yield data for over few thousand hectares and satellite imagery for several years, comparison of actual yield versus indices on a time series will allow for an accurate model.

What are the benefits e-Extension services?

You will gain superior understanding of your soil nutrient with fertilizer application tips. Every week, you will receive advice (via SMS or phone call) on crop health containing up to 12 types of farming advice. You will increased your crop yield by approx. 25% per item of advice applied. You will gain better understanding of sustainable agronomic practices, increased access to agronomic information, higher income due to higher volume of crops sold (potentially 200-1000% higher than current), reduced consumption of fertilizer and other agricultural inputs, plus improved market linkages and formalization of your farming yield data.

The 7 Pillars of Wisdom of Agriculture:

Soil analysis, Correct interpretation, Good soil preparation (Key), Good fertilizer placement, Good seed or healthy seedlings (very important), and Good spraying program.
